At the International Waldorf School, we have two kindergartens and Classes One to Six.

INTERNSHIPS
We are committed to supporting the development of the next generation of teachers and welcome educational interns at our school. However, due to our small size, we can only accommodate a limited number of interns each year.

LEARNING SUPPORT COORDINATOR VACANCY

Due to the upcoming departure of our current Learning Support Coordinator, we are looking for a new colleague starting August 1, 2026, for three days per week (0.6 FTE).

The Waldorf approach to education, that the International Waldorf School The Hague follows, emphasizes creativity, imagination, and practical skills. The curriculum is designed to foster intellectual, emotional, and social development, while supporting each child’s unique learning journey. At the International Waldorf School, we have two kindergarten classes and six primary classes.
In your role as Learning Support Coordinator, you will primarily act as the coordinator of educational quality and student support. You will maintain strong relationships with external support services (Samenwerkingsverband, School Social Work, School Attendance Office, therapists) and coordinate the support provision based on the school’s support profile. You will guide teachers in maintaining consistent planning, assessments and progress tracking to ensure clear insight into student development and support needs.
Where necessary, you will participate in parent meetings and act as a sounding board for teachers regarding student care and educational challenges. You will also support and contribute to the ongoing professional development of the teaching staff. In addition, you will be part of the management team together with the kindergarten and primary school coordinators and the school director, helping to create school development plans and curriculum guidelines. You are enthusiastic about and committed to Waldorf education.
Anthroposophy is either familiar to you, or you are willing to deepen your understanding of it.
You work from a positive perspective and focus on constructive collaboration with both the team and parents. New colleagues quickly feel welcome at our school, where the atmosphere is relaxed. Our team consists not only of class teachers but also of a comprehensive support team, support staff, and specialist teachers for eurythmy, handwork, and physical education.

KINDERGARTEN TEACHER VACANCY

Due to a vacancy within our team, we are looking for a Kindergarten Teacher (0.2 FTE) starting in the new school year (2026-2027)

The Waldorf approach to education emphasizes creativity, imagination, and learning through play and experience. In our kindergarten, we focus on rhythm, imitation, and creating a warm, secure environment in which young children can develop at their own pace.
At the International Waldorf School, we have two kindergartens and Classes One to Six.
As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will:
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young children
  • Work from a Waldorf perspective, with attention to rhythm, play, and development
  • Observe and support each child’s individual growth
  • Work closely with colleagues and parents
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has a DUO certificate to teach in Kindergarten
  • Is enthusiastic about early childhood education
  • Has a Waldorf education background or is willing to learn about the Waldorf education
  • Works from a positive and reflective attitude
  • Enjoys working in an international environment
  • Values collaboration with colleagues and parents
  • Is familiar with Anthroposophy or is willing to take part in training to deepen your understanding.

EURYTHMY TEACHER VACANCY

We are currently looking for a part-time Eurythmy teacher (0.3 FTE) for the 2025-2026 academic year.

We would like to get in touch with you, if you:

  • are a fully qualified Eurythmy teacher with DUO registration
  • can communicate and teach in English (at least a B2 level of English)

The teachers at our school work together closely and are given a high level of autonomy. We are a small, energetic team. We are eager to build our school and always try to be open for innovation. Since we are a young school that is unique in its approach, it is important to have an open mind towards learning and development.

The position will start on the 1st of August 2025. We are offering a contract that will last until 31 July 2026, with the prospect of a permanent contract. Salary is according to the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Primary Education, based on experience.
