Participation Council
The Participation Council is a formal body within the school that supports the school management in its policy-making. It ensures that the interests of the children, their parents and the employees are taken into consideration when developing new policies. On many issues, the Participation Council has an advisory role. On some issues, the Participation Council even has a decisive vote.
The Participation Council consists of two employees and two parents (it should always be an even number). The parent representatives have been elected by the parents and the employee representatives by their colleagues.
These are the present members:
Parents:
Freddy Nyiti (Class 4 parent) & Bernadette Tedeschi (Class 2 parent)
Employees:
Sarah Mann (Communications, PR & Marketing) & Lindie van Jaarsveld (Class 6 teacher)
If you have any questions, concerns or compliments that you would like to share with the PC, you can email them at: pc@iwsth.org.
